Check out last year’s video!!

What is Houseboats?

Sonshine ministries is a non-profit/non-denominational Christian resource ministry that partners with churches to provide a unique house-boating experience for students. They partner with churches by providing resources and coordinating logistics so that we may maximize our ministry.

What to expect?

We will spending the entire week on the water. During the camp, students will have the opportunity to participate in various activities including skiing, wake boarding, banana boating, swimming, tanning, playing board games, and more! We will also incorporate and emphasize a spiritual element during the trip by leading Bible studies, worship, and testimonies.

Who is able to come?

Our summer camp is open for 6th-12 grade students, including graduating 5th grade students who are entering the 6th grade in Fall 2019.We have reserved two boats: one for guys and one for girls. Each boat will accompany 13 students, 2 leaders from Valley, and 2 houseboats staff members. The houseboats staff members will coordinate morning and afternoon "ski runs" so they can participate in the various water activities. The houseboat staff members are trained and fully equipped to be assisting us on the water.

How much does it cost?

The total cost is $430, which includes transportation, meals, lodging, and supplies. We have split the payments into a payment plan to help spread out the total cost.

  • Deposit - $30 open after April 1 (nonrefundable)

  • Payment 1 - $200 due on May 15

  • Payment 2 - $200 due on July 15

Registration Details

All payments will be handled online (click “Make Payment” button). A student can secure their spot when they have submitted their $30 deposit. Since we can only take 13 students on each houseboat, once all 26 spots are submitted we will need to place all students who sign up after on a wait-list.

In addition to the payment, every student and volunteer must submit two forms. If you need the forms, email Nick.

  1. Registration and Medical Consent Form

  2. Release and Waiver of Liability and Indemnity Agreement

Make sure that both forms are filled out and completed. THIS WILL COMPLETE YOUR REGISTRATION PROCESS.

**It is our desire that every student would be able to attend camp and that financial constraints would not be a hindrance. If finances are a concern, do not hesitate to contact Nick.
